Asia Invest Programme

Launched in 1998, the programme aims at promoting the internationalisation of European and Asian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a special focus on support of the exchange of experience, networking and matchmaking among European and Asian business organisations.

In accordance with its mission, the Czech Chamber of Commerce has played an active role in preparation of concrete projects aimed at support of internationalization of Czech companies and has become a reliable partner for its counterparts in the EU and Asia.  
The Czech Chamber of Commerce as the Czech national coordinator of ASIA INVEST projects organized Czech participation in the following international company contact events:

Sri Lanka – Czech Interprise 2006 (Colombo, Sri Lanka)

EU-China Partenariat 2006 (Chengdu, China)

EuropAsia Business Convention 2007 (Lyon, France)

EUM-BIO Malaysia 2007 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

EU-China Machinery & Construction Partnership 2008 (Nanjing, China)

EU-China Shanxi Region Partnership 2008 (Taiyuan, China)

PEACE – EU/China/Malaysia 2009 (Xi’an, China & Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)


New EU programme aimed at fostering bilateral contacts and capacity building of business institutions in 5 countries of Central Asia. Each project comprises extensive training activities and results in small matchmaking event of SMEs from the EU and Central Asia.

The Czech Chamber of Commerce and its partners is active in submitting different projects to the European Commission, so far it is involved in the following one:

Central Asia Business Organisations Trainings CABOTs (Uzbekistan) – led by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Latina (Italy), partners: Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (Turkey), Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


Succeeding the successful Asia Invest Programme, SWITCH Asia takes over target countries of its predecessor, aiming exclusively at environmental technologies. Each project should be dealing with different solutions and technology transfer in water purification, waste treatment, renewable energy, etc. Most project involve SMEs matchmaking.

The Czech Chamber of Commerce and its partners submit several projects to the European Commission and wait for approval.


New programme aimed at organizing Round Tables with EU and Chinese SMEs to exchange views, best practices and raise current issues challenging the world market. One of these Round Tables is foreseen to be organized in Prague.


WESTERN BALKANS – Partners for Investment Promotion

A comprehensive inter-chamber training programme focused on EU candidate countries of Western Balkans. Several projects dealing with establishing Centers of Excellence and attraction of foreign direct investment.

The Czech Chamber of Commerce has established partnership with Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Montenegro Chamber of Commerce and Macedonian Chamber of Economy; the expected result of the partnership is establishment of a Center for Project Management of EU Projects.



A new EU programme targeted at the territory of the Mediterranean – Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Palestine, Israel, Syria , Jordan and Lebanon. A multi-sector and multi-component programme, within its scope you can find organization of B2B meetings, workshops, trainings, etc.

The Czech Chamber of Commerce is active in several partnerships, above all in one focused on organization of the Business Forum “EU and its Neighbours” going to take place on 14-15 May 2009 in Prague along with the 16th Eurochambres Congress and under auspices of the Czech Presidency of the EU Council.



A fourth round of a successful programme aimed at fostering internationalization of SMEs in South America. Multi-sector programme provides a substantial support when organizing company contact events, participation in trade fairs and exhibitions, etc.

The Czech Chamber of Commerce is involved in a consortium of chambers of commerce and similar business support institutions led by Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The programme foresees 2 business missions from the Andean region to the Czech Republic and 2 business missions of Czech SMEs to the Andean region.
