General Congress

The Chamber of Commerce General Congress is the highest body of the Czech Chamber of Commerce. It is formed by a General Assembly composed of representatives of district chambers and the Assembly of Associations formed by the representatives of professional associations. The General Congress convenes once per year based on a summons by the Board of Directors.

Each district and regional chamber has two representatives at the General Assembly and the same applies to the Assembly of Professional Associations. Each delegate to the General Meeting has one vote.

The General Congress is convened once a year. In the event of a written request supported by more than one third of the district and regional chambers and professional associations or by one tenth of the representatives of the district and regional chambers and professional associations and Supervisory Board, the Board is obliged to convene the General Congress within three months at the latest.

The General congress adopts the strategy of the CCC, approves the annual budget, and can amend the statutes. Every three years the General Congress elects the members of the Board of Directors, the President and Vice-Presidents, and the members of the Supervisory Board.
